My definition of collaboration in part was; individuals working together to share their knowledge and ideas with one another.  When people collaborate they can tackle problems, look at data, and assess needs in all areas.  Solutions and interventions are a positive outcome of collaboration.

Cooltoolsforschools is pretty cool!
Wikispaces would be great for classroom supplies, or books to read!

We had a lot of information in a short time.  Google docs, Dropbox, and Dropitto.me
At this time, my favorite Dropbox, it is easy to manage and share.  I will need to play with Google docs a bit more to feel more comfortable.

There's a lot of info tonight!  I am frustrated because I am not able to download any of the apps that we are supposed to be learning about , and implementing them in class.  All this does is make me feel like I am further behind, and will need to "catch up" at home. That's one of my initial complaints about technology. NOT WORKING!       AAAACK!
Flipboard was cool.  I am amazed at so many things that we are capable of doing these days.  I am a HUGE fan of Pinterest and Facebook.  I appreciate all of the work and tips from Colleen and Jared!  Happy to have them instructing us!

Lots of information this week, and it was nice to browse the sites and view the presentations. My top four are:

1.  Read, Write, Think  Colleen's presentation was really good.  Short and sweet.  I like that, as it's easy to understand.  The student interactives are great on this website.  I have used some on this site before, and the student's always enjoy it.

2.  Time for Kids  This is a good website for those current event assignments.  My 3rd grader has done these this year.  GREAT resource and kid friendly!

3.  eMedia  Nice website for the Magic School Bus episodes and any content area videos you are interested in looking at.

4.  Mission US  Camille's presentation was very engaging.  Caught my attention right away!  Great site for older kids.  Love how the student's take on the character and complete a mission of their choice.

Well, tonight went way fast!  I really enjoyed it, and am looking forward to all of the hands-on learning we will be experiencing in this class.  Both Colleen and Jared were really enthusiastic tonight, and our classroom had a great energy this evening.  I found the Creative Commons information very interesting.  Here is my picture I got from Flickr, and properly citing it would look like this:

We set up Twitter accounts tonight.  We are quite the "Tweeters." (I've done only 2 mind you...)  However, I have been looking around on it, and WOW!  you can find some great topics and perspectives on technology and education.  Jared has some great ones.  Thanks for sharing them!

Today is the last day of our first class. Whew! I made it, I think!  Not all of the grades are in, but I'm shooting for good ones.
Day 2 of presentations, and again, everyone presents so differently.  It is interesting to see the presentations of the older grades, and I didn't think that it would be.  Different perspectives can make us grow as educators, and this is a perfect example.  I believe that the overall thoughts and what we learned were all similar in our experiences with the ADDIE model.  The common theme was overwhelming, hard at first, and time consuming.  However, by the end of the process we all finally "GOT IT."
